Do you have an old flag that you need to dispose of? The Elks now has a flag box for that purpose. The box is located at the front entrance to the Elks, just inside the double doors off the porch.
The box was custom made by one of our members, George “Whitey” Noll. It was painted by another member, Stephanie Grove. Thank you to both Whitey and Stephanie! This box represents the Elks Patriotism, and ensures that the flags get disposed of properly. At the Flag Day Ceremony in June, the Pleasant Gap Legion performs a flag burning ceremony and also takes the remaining flags to be disposed of properly.
