LITTLE ELKS PROGRAM

The Elks has a program for young adults, ages 12-20, called the Junior Antlers Program.  This program is designed to bring young adults to the Lodge, involving them in activities in hopes they will become members when they reach the age of 21.

We have a few children, younger than the age of 12, who also like to help.  They may not understand the meaning of what they are contributing, but the idea that they like to help is important.   The “Little Elks Program” is for those kids younger than 12, but old enough to help or do projects suited for their age group.

So far the Little Elks have done these projects:

  1. Helping stuff the Easter Eggs with Candy
  2. Helping fill the Christmas Food Baskets
  3. Sending Christmas cards to Soldiers overseas
  4. Jared Boxes
  5. Trick or Treating to Senior Living Facilities
  6. Helping with the Home Service Breakfast
  7. Filling Halloween candy bags

The goals of the program are:

  1. Having an interest for young families
  2. As the children grow with the Lodge, they can get more involved and hopefully have a Junior Antlers Program, gearing towards bigger projects/activities for the older kids
  3. Encourage the young adults to assist with the program

Watch for more information about upcoming activities on Facebook, by email or posted in the Lodge.  Our Club is “Family Friendly” and we encourage families to come to the Lodge!                              Making Christmas Cards   Visiting Centre Care on Valentine’s Day
