On June 27th, the Elks PER Association held the Jim Park Legacy Chicken BBQ Fundraiser.  It was a huge success, selling out 200 chicken dinners.  It was a rainy Saturday, but with the help from the Pleasant Gap Fire Department, we were able to cook the chicken under their pavilion at the Carnival Grounds.   PER Jim Park and PER Dick Mulfinger were the official supervisors of the chicken cooking!  PER’s Adam Rawding, Rick Zerby, Scott King, Chris Shuey, Terree and Ray Holsing and Lorna Spearly were on hand to help with the packing of the dinners, and Matt Nixdorf, Kurt Weller, ER Evan Edwards, Greg Garner and Beth Ertly assisted as well.  The profits from the fundraiser was approximately $1300, which will be used to help local charities.  Thank you to everyone who purchased dinners!
